Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara who saved Jews by issuing visas during WWII.

Acclaimed documentary film “Sugihara – Conspiracy of Kindness” will be screened on Thursday, June 23, at 7:30 pm at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 North Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049.

Ken Watanabe’s “Unite for Japan” public service announcement will also be presented.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, which is committed to support four non-governmental organizations in Japan.

Chiune Sugihara was a simple courageous Japanese man who used his power as a diplomat to fight back during one of the darkest time in history. In “Conspiracy of Kindness” with many of the communities surrounding him, he saved the lives of men, women and children during WWII. Today, his deeds account for more than 60,000 people alive.
