Mar 2: ARIGATO from Japan concert at Music Center, Los Angeles Downtown

The Consulate-General of Japan in Los Angeles and the Japan Foundation present “ARIGATO from Japan” concert on Friday, March 2, at 7:00 pm at Ahmanson Theatre in Music Center, 135 North Grand Ave, Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The Los Angeles concert kicks of the worldwide “ARIGATO from Japan” concert to New York, Paris, Beijin, Shanghai, Chongchin, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.

“ARIGATO from Japan” concert features some of the best musical artists from the region most greatly impacted by the disaster.

The performers will include the world famous taiko ensemble Ondekoza, Bamboo Orchestra, Kazutoki Umezu Orchestra, Ochi Brothers, and Sizzle Ohtaka.

The day before the concert, the performers will offer a workshop to teach children how to make their own traditional Japanese instruments out of bamboo.
