Mar 10: Japan’s consulate general to hold a public apprication event of American’s support after the disaster
Called as “Japan: Endless Discovery,” the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles and Japanese Business Association of Southern California will hold a public appreciation event to convey Japan’s gratitude for Americans’ support after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on Saturday, March 10 from 12:00 – 8:00 pm at the Grove shopping center, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
Free event. Open to the public.
More than 30 booths are planned to open to feature Japan’s cutting edge technology, delicious and healthy food, charming characters, traditional culture, tourism, and trending fashion and pop culture.
Performance programs will include “Meet Hello Kitty!” kimono show, tea ceremony, taiko performance, koto performance, and more.
The opening remarks will take place around 1:00 pm, and the closing remarks will be held around 7:00 pm.
