Masako Wada, widow of Japanese American community leader Fred Wada, passed away at home in Los Angeles on Oct. 11. She was 100-year-old.
Masako Wada was born as Masako Tabata in Utah on March 13, 1913. She was married to Fred Isamu Wada, a businessman and Japanese American community leader, whose life with Masako was largely focused on strengthening Japan-U.S. relations through efforts that included business, philanthropy and other areas –including his lifetime membership as a leader with the International Olympic Committee.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct 20, at 2:00 pm, at Senshin Buddhist Temple, located at 1311 West 37th Street, Los Angeles, CA. For those wishing to honor Mrs. Wada, make contributions to Keiro Senior HealthCare in memory of Masako Wada.
