Gallery MUJO in Los Angeles will present “Akinori Ohtsuka Exhibition” from Dec. 5 – 27, from 1 pm to 6 pm. The artist will be in the gallery from Dec. 16 – 18, from 1 pm to 6 pm. The opening reception will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The gallery will close on Dec. 9 and 23.

Akinori Ohtsuka is a recognized fine artist in Japan, and received master degree in 2005 from the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo. He was trained at Japanese art department of the university.
Akinori Ohtsukadedicates his efforts to express Japanese tradition through his work on both technique and subject aspects.
Using traditional paint and brush techniques, his work depicts a contemporary sentiment in moving and energetic expressions,while traditional Japanese elements are depicted by his figures including samurai warriors, women of the court, priests, blossoms and nature still life.
For Akinori Ohtsuka, making the first and last brushstroke in his artworks is just like a samurai warrior is wielding his sword.
His previous exhibitions include “Shizuka I – VII” since 2002 at Gallery Subaru, Tokyo, solo exhibitions at Ozu Gallery, Tokyo, art fair “Lineart 2011” in Belgium, and First Japanese New Year’sArt Fair in 2012 at Gallery MUJO.
