Instructor Kimisen Katada is a member of the Katada-Ryu School of Narimono Music, and the Samon-Kai School of Nagauta Music in Japan.

Since 1974, Kimisen Katada has introduced Kabuki music to American audiences nationwide, and has given performance, lecture, and demonstrations in schools and colleges.

Kimisen Katada now moved to California. In spite of the fact she frequently travels to New York and Japan, Kimisen Katada now opens  shamisen, voice, kotsuzumi, and taiko classes for adults, and taiko classes for children.
