Nibei Foundation presents lecture “The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden: A Landmark of California History, A Treasure for Future Generations” by Ms. Deanie Nyman on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 pm at Terasaki Foundation Building, 11570 West Olympic Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90064.

A survivor of numerous threats to its existence since it ground-breaking in 1935, two-acre Japanese garden in Pasadena is one of only two in California on the National Register of Historic Places.

It has been recently restored to its original glory and is now poised to be thriving resource for the community, offering respite from the outside world and programs in support of the poetry and dignity of Japanese landscape design, art and culture.
