Shusse Inari Shrine at 2018 Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo
Hollywood journalist Izumi Hasegawa was born at a family of a Shinto shrine in Matsue, Shimane prefecture, and she has another hat: a licensed priest with the National Association of Shinto Shrine (Jinja Honcho).
Hasegawa will open Shussei Inari Jinja on Sunday, Jan. 1 from 11 am to 3 pm on Onizuka Street in the “Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo” events sponsored by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California.
“Saitansai” ceremony will be performed by Rev. Izumi Hasegawa at 12:30 pm.
