Forwarded for Zesnhuji Temple in Little Tokyo
We are happy to announce that we are starting a new year with new events;
1) There will be a dedication ceremony of Noh and Tsuzumi to pray for disaster victims and reconstruction in Japan on Monday, January 16th, 2017.
It is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normally Zenshuji closes on a holiday but we are open this day specially to hold the ceremony.
Noh is a traditional Japanese theatre art with dance and music, which is very ceremonial and minimalistic.
Tsuzumi is a Japanese hand drum which is often played in Japanese traditional music.
Free admission, donation only.
