The Kyoto Animation has been produced animated works that inspired and influenced many anime fans around the world.
On July 19, 2019, the Studio 1 building of the Kyoto Animation in the Fushimi ward of Tokyo City was attacked with arson, and this arson attack killed at least 35 people and injured an additional 33 people of the Kyoto Animation staff, and destroyed most of materials and computers in the studio.
This vicious and senseless attack and loss of the animation creators send shock waves around the world. And anime fans in the world has sent their hearts and prayers to the victims of the Kyoto Animation attack.
To respond sympathies of the world anime fans, the Japan Foundation, Los Angeles will present screenings of latest films of Kyoto Animation for three consecutive days from Aug. 8-9 at its auditorium on 5700 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
