Los Angeles Art Association Member Shizuko Greenblatt will show her mixed media work Scene from Childhood at Divergent Synthesis, open call group exhibition organized by LaunchLA in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center.
Greenblatt remarks: I’m most grateful for the acceptance of my mixed media work Scene from Childhood into this competitive exhibition. This 3D piece is influenced by Pied Mondrian and fused with Japanese Ikebana sculpture. It’s a depiction of my grandchildren playing blissfully in my backyard. It took me three years of labor-intensive work with plenty of technical help from my late husband and my 2 sons. I’m certain that my husband must be delighted to see this exhibition from above.
