TORRANCE, CA – Marukai Corporation, a subsidiary of Pan Pacific International Holdings Corporation in Japan, celebrated the grand opening of Tokyo Central Torrance PCH Store on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
At 22,150 square feet, Tokyo Central Torrance PCH Store is the company’s 2nd Torrance location and its 12th US store. Currently, grocer and retailer Tokyo Central operates 11 locations in the US, with plans to open additional stores in 2025.
Tokyo Central offers a wide variety of premium imported Japanese goods such as groceries, made-to-order and ready-to-go food trays, health products and many other specialty items.
Inside the Torrance PCH store, Tokyo Central opened Vanshow Sushi & Bar restaurant, serving fresh and authentic Japanese cuisine.
“We are excited to open our 12th Tokyo Central store here in Los Angeles, nearly 9,000 km from Tokyo. Along with imported Japanese products, we offer locally sourced items and combine Japan’s hospitality with Los Angeles’ friendly service,” said Koichi Toyo, president of Marukai Corporation.

Tokyo Central Torrance PCH Store is located at 3665 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, CA 90505, at the corner of Hawthorne Blvd. and PCH, next to Best Buy.
