Tea ceremony demonstration by Urasenke association
Chado Urasenke Tankokai Los Angeles Association presents the Nisei Week Chado Demonstration, The Way of Tea, on August 13 and 14, from 11 am to 4 pm at JACCC (Japanese American Cultural and Community Center) at 5th floor.
Free admission for viewing the demonstrations. $5 donation is suggested for Japanese sweet and a bowl of tea per person. Donation tickets will be sold at the door.
The Urasenke Association in the greater Los Angeles area has more than 250 practitioners with 32 Urasenke School instructors. The Nisei Week Chado Demonstration will be performed by Urasenke students who have dedicated many years to learn the art of tea.
