Project Momotaro

Zenshuji Soto Mission in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles, will host the Project Momotaro, a live musical with Japanese children songs performed by the Grateful Crane Ensemble on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 1:00 pm.

The stories to be told include “The Tortoise & the Hare,” “Tanabata (Star Festival)” and “Momotaro: Peach Boy.”

The program is suited for the entire family.

Written by Soji Kashiwagi and directed by Darrell Kunitomi, the Project Momotaro cast includes Haruye Ioka, Keiko Kawashima, Kurt Kuniyoshi, Helen H. Ota and Michael C. Palma.  Grateful Crane’s Musical Director Scott Nagatani will be on keyboards.

The Project Momotaro is supported by Mr. Frank Kawana of Yamasa Enterprises.
