2012 Nisei Week / Los Angeles Tanabata Festival on view, Aug 10 -13
The 4th annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival officially opens on Aug 10 at 5 pm.

The Japanese American community in Los Angeles is counting down the 4th Annual Los Angeles Tanabata Festival in Little Tokyo on Aug 9.
More than 200 ornament paper streamers created by local groups and 15 larger size paper streamers from Sendai, Japan are brought to the festival venue at north side of the Japanese American National Museum at First Street and Central Ave.
The 4th Los Angeles Tanabata Festival will officially open on Friday, Aug 10, at 5 pm and run through Monday, Aug. 13 in Little Tokyo to coincide with Nisei Week Festival events.
There will be food booth, arts/craft booths, games booths, and entertainment at stage along with the Tanabata display.
The Los Angeles Tanabata Festival is sponsored by the Nisei Week Foundation, the Little Tokyo Public Safety Association, and the Prefecture Association of Southern California (Nanka Kenjinkai Kyogikai).
