The Japan Foundation, Los Angeles and Japan America Society present “Restoration of Fukushima from 3.11” lecture on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Japan Foundation, 5700 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

“Restoration of Fukushima from 3.11” will be lectured by Mr. Satoru Mimura, Manager of International Relations of Fukushima Future Center for Regional Revitalization in Fukushima City.

As the only national university in the region, Fukushima University aims to support people affected by the disasters through the establishment of the Fukushima Future Center for Regional Revitalization – FURE in April, 2011.

Lecturer, Mr. Satoru Mimura was involved in restoration activities in Iwate after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since June 2012, he has been working for Fukushima Future Center for Regional Revitalization – FURE of Fukushima University as the Manager responsible for International Relations.

Mimura started his career with the Japan International Cooperation Agency in 1995. Since then, he has been working for Japanese aid programs in the field of environment conservation and disaster management in Asia, Pacific, Central and South America.
