Fumiko Carole Fujita and Jeffrey Gee Chin, filmmakers of the narrative film Lil Tokyo Reporter will be keynote speakers at the Paul Chikahisa Memorial Lecture and 16th Annual API Scholarship Reception at USC on Thursday, April 3

The event with the theme "Bridging the Gap: Celebrating the API Experience Across Generations will be heldat the Ronald Tutor Center, Grand Ballroom A/B (Basement), at 3607 Trousdale Parkway in Los Angeles, CA 90089.

The scholarship reception supports the social workers of tomorrow by funding four endowed scholarships to USC School of Social Work students.

This is the only endowed scholarship effort by students at the school. Scholarship recipients are students who are involved in the API community and are pursuing their education to further engage as knowledgeable and highly trained social workers.

The lecture will include a screening of Lil Tokyo Reporter which honors the major accomplishments of Sei Fujii, civil rights advocate for the Japanese American community.

The cast includes Academy Award winner Chris Tashima (Visas and Virtue), Keiko Agena (Gilmore Girls) and Eijiro Ozaki (Letters From Iwo Jima).

The Paul Chikahisa Memorial Lecture and screening of Lil Tokyo Reporter are at 4:30 pm and free. The Annual Scholarship Reception is at 6 pm, tickets are $50, $35 for students.
