On Ensemble
As a part of “World Rhythms” series at Descanso Gardens in La Canada,
Los Angeles-based drum players On Ensemble and Japan-based dancer Chieko Kojima will perform on July 22, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.
This seven-week series of world music and dance performances celebrate humankind’s connection to nature and gardens.
On Ensemble infuses traditional Japanese taiko drumming with singing, innovative meters and soaring melodies. World-renowned taiko troupe KODO’s member Chieko Kojima will perform with On Ensemble.
Through August 21, Descanso Gardens is open from 9 am to 8 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. No reciprocal gardens admission after 4:30 pm.
Descanso Gardens is located near the intersection of the 210 and 2 freeways. It is a 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles.
