Joan Marshall, executive director of Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena will leave for Texas State History Museum in Austin as the executive director at the end of August.
During Marshall’s tenure for seven years, Pacific Asia Museum successfully completed the Campaign for the Future - $4.2 million fundraising effort, achieved accreditation from the American Association of Museum, made major capital improvements to the building, opened the first family education gallery, Journeys: The Silk Road and the Mosher Gallery of Japanese Art.
