Detroit Institute of Arts will present a full display of the elegant Hina Dolls and a brief presentation on the Japan Gallery Project on Sunday, March 6, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Hinamatsuri is a free program with museum admission.
Hinamatsuri program will include: Chanoyu tea ceremony demonstration, Nihon Buyo dance performance, Ikebana flower arrangement demonstration, Koto music performance, and Origami workshop.
Hinamatsuri program is an official event organized by Consulate General of Japan in Detroit and supported by Detroit Institute of Arts, Japan Society Detroit Women’s Club, Ikebana International, Japanese Business Society of Detroit, and Miyabi Ensemble.
