“Tokyo Nebuta” stage on March 13, 2016

Dance event “Tokyo Nebuta” is a brainchild of entrepreneur Shinichi Temmo in Tokyo to recreate an excitement of the dancing part in the famous Aomori Nebuta Festival which is held from Aug. 2 – Aug. 7 every year.

Following the first “Tokyo Nebuta” was successfully performed in Tokyo on March 13, “Tokyo Nebuta 2016 Los Angeles” will be held at Avalon Hollywood, 1735 Vine Street, Hollywood, CA 90028 on Sunday, July 17 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. Doors open at 3:00 pm.

Free admission, for all ages, and no dress code.

Aomori Nebuta Festival is one of biggest summer festivals in Japan. Lighted floats are pushed by crowed of people in nights, and followed by dancing troupe called Haneto dancers.

Bring American dancers and Haneto dancers together in the stage of Avalon Hollywood, the hybrid dance event will give totally new experiences to American audiences.

Performers include Tokai On Air, TAIKOPROJECT, Mookie Washington, and Nina Fujii.
