In Los Angeles, it is not unusual that Japanese song concerts are organized by local people.

But the Gardena Blend Concert on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, presented by Karin Creation was considered an unusual concert in term of entertainment genre: from Karaoke, taiko, tsugaru-shamisen, Japanese dance, jazz dance, Japanese sword performance, ukulele music and hula dance, rock ‘n’ roll music, and flamenco.

The inaugural Gardena Blend Concert was attended with more than 200 audiences at Ken Nakaoka Memorial Community Center in Garndea, Southern suburb of Los Angeles.

The showcase of Japanese entertainment run from 2:00 pm through 5:30 pm with 10 minutes intermission.

The event organizer Karin Creation regularly hosts Nori Nori Karaoke Club. The Gardena Blend Concert was a variety talent show rather than an extended Karaoke show.

Partial proceeds of the concert was set to donation for the restoration of Okinawa Shuri Castle which was destroyed by fire on October 31.
