2020 / Communities in Los Angeles: Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute to feature Hawaii’s documentary film at annual Day of Remembrance, Feb. 22

The Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute will have their annual Day of Remembrance event on Saturday February 22nd, 2020.

The event will be from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM at the GVJCI Main Hall.

This year’s Day of Remembrance program will focus on the experience of those who were incarcerated in Hawai’i during World War II.

It will feature the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai’i’s documentary, The Untold Story: Internment of Japanese Americans in Hawai’i and will be followed by a discussion between several panelists, including Densho Content Director, Brian Niiya.

Reservations are not needed, and admission is FREE to this event Donations greatly appreciated.
