2022 / Southern California Kendo Federation to hold 80th Nisei Week Kendo Tournament at Terasaki Budokan on May 1
The Southern California Kendo Federation will hold the 80th Nisei Week Kendo Tournament on May 1, 2022 at the Terasaki Budokan located at 249 S. Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles 90012. There will be approximately 150 participants entered in the 80th Nisei Week Kendo Tournament. Admission: Free to spectate.
The opening ceremonies will start at 9:00 am. Because of the pandemic, this is the first tournament the federation has had in almost two and a half years and it surely will be a very special day.
The Southern California Kendo Federation (SCKF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is the largest kendo organization in the United States. It currently comprises 23 kendo and iaido dojo, ranging from Santa Barbara in the north to to San Diego in the south, and includes several satellite dojo in Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

SCKF also conducts kendo-related seminars and hosts visitors from the All Japan Kendo Federation and other places around the world. The SCKF is a member and supporter of the All United States Kendo Federation and the International Kendo Federation.
