2023 / Soto Zen Mission in North America & Zenshuji Soto Mission 100th Anniversary Commemoration Events to be held, May 27, 28

The Zenshuji Soto Mission announces that Zenshuji is celebrating the 100th anniversary on the weekend of May27 and 28. Zenshuji will have many guest priests from Japan including the head priests of Soto Zen to conduct ceremonies for this great milestone. And there will be a symposium for a newly translated “Shōbōgenzō” and a lecture on Keizan zenji on Saturday, May 27.  Everyone is welcome to attend these events.

Also Zenshuji will hold the 100th anniversary banquet on Saturday, May 27 at Quiet Cannon in Montebello. The reservation deadline is April 25th.
