On the weekend of July 15-16, 2023, the Orange County Buddhist Church (OCBC) in Anaheim is sponsoring an Obon Festival as a time to remember our ancestors and hear the Buddha-Dharma together with festivities and outdoor dancing.
The two-day event will feature a variety of foods, games, boutique and craft items, and a taiko drum performance at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The colorful Bon Odori Dancing will begin at 6:30 p.m. and all can participate.
The festival is now open to the public again after Covid.
Admission is free.
There will be free parking at Rancho Alamitos High School at 11351 Dale Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841 with free shuttle service to/from the festival at 1:30-9:00 p.m.
