Dear Members, Friends and Colleagues of JBA:
On Friday, March 11 at 2:46 PM (Japan local time), a powerful earthquake of magnitude 9 struck, with its seismic center off the Sanriku coast in Tohoku district of Japan. Although we do not yet know the full extent of the damages caused by the earthquakes, tsunamis and fires, the enormity of the earthquake (of a severity that occurs only once in a millennium) has caused unthinkable damages over a vast area and affected many people. On behalf of Japan Business Association of Southern California (JBA), we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the victims and heartfelt prayers to everyone who has been affected by this calamity.
JBA respectfully requests your generous donations to assist the victims and support the rebuilding of the affected areas. If you can support this effort, please fill out the form below, make your check payable to “The JBA Foundation” and send the check to JBA’s office on or before April 30, 2011. With the assistance and guidance of the Consulate-General of Japan in Los Angeles, JBA will utilize your donations for the aforementioned purposes. Please understand that your name will be disclosed to the final recipient of your donation as well as published in JBA News.
