Japan Hollywood Network to Premiere Heartwarming Drama “Is It Too Late for Sushi?” on KXLA Every Sunday at 7PM

LOS ANAGELES  — Japan Hollywood Network (JHN) announces the U.S. broadcast premiere of the Japanese television drama “Is It Too Late for Sushi?” with English subtitles. The series will debut Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM on KXLA channel 44.1 and will be available for free nationwide streaming on JHN’s website, www.jhollywoodnet.com, following each televised episode. The 10-episode run concludes on August 2, 2026.

“Is It Too Late for Sushi?” follows a 50-year-old protagonist who enrolls in a sushi academy to pursue a second act as a sushi chef. The drama juxtaposes tradition and contemporary values while exploring themes of self-discovery, intergenerational relationships, work, love, and friendship. Combining humor and romance, the series portrays mature characters navigating new dreams and personal transformation, offering an uplifting narrative intended to resonate with audiences across generations.

Viewers in the KXLA broadcast area can receive JHN via antenna on channel 44.1. Cable and satellite carriage includes SPECTRUM-CHARTER (channels 14, 19, 20, 715 or 1240), COX (channels 31, 32), and satellite providers DirecTV, Dish, and U-verse on channel 44. After each broadcast, episodes will stream free of charge on JHN’s website, expanding access beyond the Los Angeles metro area.
