Matoi no Kai LA is excited to announce its first concert MATOI AWASE! Matoi no Kai LA is a sister group to Matoi no Kai in Japan. The group brings together various taiko players from around Southern California who value and represent their own groups’ identities and pride while also seeking positive, forward-looking exchange and community building beyond organizational boundaries.

Guided by Shunichiro Kamiya, members learn traditional Japanese taiko while embracing creativity to shape a new taiko culture. Through mutual support and pride in their roots, we aim to build a community where everyone can thrive and shine.
