ASIAN BIZ 2026 AUG | South Korean Eyewear Brand “Blue Elephant” Opens First U.S. Flagship in Beverly Hills
South Korean eyewear brand introduces an approximately 7,000-square-foot retail space and an LA Exclusive Collection
BEVERLY HILLS, CA — South Korean eyewear band BLUE ELEPHANT will open its first U.S. flagship store in Beverly Hills on August 13, marking a major milestone in the brand’s global expansion.
BLUE ELEPHANT pairs contemporary design with accessible pricing, offering a diverse range of shapes, moods, and expressions that transcend generations and personal styles. The brand has grown rapidly in Korea since its founding in 2019 and, with the opening of its Beverly Hills flagship, will operate 35 stores across Korea, Japan, and the United States.
Located at 300 N. Beverly Drive, the approximately 7,000-square-foot flagship is set within a restored 1940s building. The property’s original bowstring truss roof has been preserved, making the building’s historic architecture a defining element of the space.
Inside, the store unfolds as an immersive journey inspired by Los Angeles. Visitors are welcomed by a sculptural installation drawn from the typography of the letters “L.A.” Arches and a series of tunnel-like forms guide guests deeper into the space. On the mezzanine, layered curves, warm red carpeting, and expansive imagery evoke the glow of a Los Angeles sunset, transforming the level into a living canvas.
The Beverly Hills flagship reflects BLUE ELEPHANT’s retail philosophy across Korea and Japan, with each store designed to respond to the architectural and cultural identity of its city rather than replicate a single retail format.
The flagship also introduces the LA Exclusive Collection, featuring ten models debuting exclusively at BLUE ELEPHANT Beverly Hills. Inspired by the vibrant cultural and natural landscape of Los Angeles, the collection celebrates the brand’s new home: a city where timeless icons and contemporary culture coexist, and enduring references are reinterpreted through a modern lens. In the U.S., all BLUE ELEPHANT frames are offered at two price points, $49.90 and $69.90.
Serving as a strategic hub for the U.S. market, the flagship will extend beyond retail through cultural programming and experiences as BLUE ELEPHANT continues to expand its global presence. This growth is supported by a KRW 100 billion (approximately $70 million) investment agreement with Affirma Capital, announced on August 3. The transaction valued BLUE ELEPHANT at approximately KRW 400 billion (about $280 million). The strengthened financial base will support the brand’s continued expansion across key international markets, including the U.S. and Japan.
