5th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival Main Event Program
The Okinawa Prefectural Government invites overseas Okinawan people to their mother country, Okinawa, every five years. This gathering dubbed as “Worldwide Uchinanchu (Okinawan people) Festival” will take place at Naha, Okinawa, this year, from October 12 through 16. To coincide with the Uchinanchu Festival, big events such as the Worldwide Esia Festival will be held in the Naha area.
With the cooperation of Uyehara Travel in Los Angeles, Cultural News is organizing the “Uchinanchu Festival” tour for Okinawan culture enthusiasts.
The tour will depart LAX on Oct. 10 (Mon), and arrive at Naha on Oct. 11 (Tue). The tour will stay at Pacific Hotel Okinawa in Naha during the tour. The tour will return to LAX on Oct. 18 (Tue).
Tour fee: $2190 + fuel surcharge/tax ($500-$700). This fee includes: An economy class air ticket per itinerary, accommodations based on double occupancy, daily breakfast – 7 times, and the festival registration. Single supplement: $343.
