Los Angeles — based textile dyeing artist Setsuko Hayashi (second from right in the photo) returned to Indonesia for the first time after 15 years to present workshops in Jakarta, Bandung, and Makassar from March 29—May 4.
Each workshop took about three hours with 15 people to learn a simple tie dyeing “Itajime” technique. “Every participants are happy” said Hayashi.
