Event Name: Black History Month Celebrates Bronzeville

Description: Join us for a presentation on Bronzeville.  Bronzeville was a community that came into being in Little Tokyo when Japanese-Americans were forced to move to internment camps.  Many African-Americans rented out the abandoned houses and transformed the area into a jazz culture during the war.  CeCe Antoinette will perform, playwrights will discuss their writing process, Chazz will supply the rhythm with a drum circle, and we’ll have some fabulous food: rib tips from Big Mama’s with salad and other fixin’s!  Fun kids African drum craft as well!
