Smithsonian’s Freer and Sackler Galleries acquires Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck Collection of Japanese photographs
The Smithsonian’s the Freer Gallery of Art and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington DC announce that Freer and Sackler Galleries have acquired the Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck Collection of Japanese photographs.
To celebrate the acquisition, the Freer and Sackler Galleries will open the exhibition “Japan Modern: Photography from the Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck Collection” on Sept. 29, 2018. The exhibition will run through Jan. 21, 2019.
