Gagaku is a century old court music of Japan. Occasions of presenting Gagaku for ordinary people are very limited these days in Japan.

The Senshin Buddhist Temple at 1311 West 37th Street, Los Angeles, CA 9007, presents the Kinnara Gagaku/Bugaku and Taiko 50th Anniversary Full Moon Concert on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 at the temple courtyard.

In addition to Gagaku and Bugaku, the temple is planning to have Sutra chanting by ministers and Taiko performance by Kinnara Taiko.

This will be the last event for Kinnara’s 50th anniversary, after starting with last year’s Full Moon Concert & Workshop in Nov. 2018.

The Kinnara Gagaku/Bugaku event will begin at twilight time, around 4:30pm on Nov. 10.
