From Japan, calligraphy master Shoran will introduce her online Japanese calligraphy lesson via Webinar on Monday, April 19 at 7:00 pm, PDT.
This is a free event, and open to the public.

30 minutes introduction session will include brief history of Japanese calligraphy, explanations about tools and posture, writing demonstrations of Hiragana and Kanji characters, and casual conversation for cultural exchanges.
Influenced by her grandfather who was a master calligrapher, Shoran graduated from Japan Calligraphy Academy in Tokyo. And she is currently teaching her classes in Tokyo and Shizuoka, Japan, and online.
She visited California a few years ago to teach Japanese calligraphy under the cultural exchange programs authorized by the U.S. State Department.
