2025 APR 4-6 | KIMONO CON Brings “Nakamise Street” at OC Japan Fair in Costa Mesa

Nakamise 2025 Spring

KIMONO CON in Los Angeles is thrilled to announce the return of NAKAMISE Street at OC Japan Fair in Orange County, from April 4- 6. This year’s theme, “Experience Asakusa in OC,” promises to offer guests an authentic taste of Asakusa’s rich culture of traditional Japan.

In collaboration with Tokyo Rickshaw, traditional rickshaws will traverse the fairgrounds, giving attendees a unique opportunity to experience this iconic aspect of Asakusa life. Additionally, three talented performers from Asakusa’s renowned Oshale Japan theater will travel to the U.S. to showcase their incredible skills on the NAKAMISE Street Stage.

A fortune-telling booth inspired by Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple will also be set up, offering visitors the chance to experience the traditional omikuji (fortune-telling) ritual.

The festivities will kick off with an opening ceremony on the evening of Friday, April 4, featuring a special Kagamiwari event to officially mark the opening of the fair.

Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a slice of Asakusa culture in OC Japan Fair during these three days!
