LITTLE TOKYO SPARKLE is the annual community cleanup day in Little Tokyo under the name of Nancy Kikuchi Volunteer Day.
In its 10th year, 300~400 volunteers come together to do trash, pick-up, graffiti removal, sidewalk clean-up in assigned areas of Little Tokyo. Lunch will be provided after the clean-up.
Sparkle Little Tokyo on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Meeting Up: Volunteers will meet by 9:00 a.m. at Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) Plaza, 244 South San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020. Volunteers will get into assigned work groups and to pick up cleaning supplies.
Bring Your: Hachimaki, Gloves, Hat, Sunscreen
Cleaning Up: A work group leader will lead volunteers to a designated area in Little Tokyo to clean.
Lunch & Raffle: Volunteers will return to the JACCC Plaza by 12:30 p.m. to enjoy a light lunch and a raffle after cleaning.
