GLENDALE | Friends of Shoseian Hosts Special Tea Event “Imagine Project 2026” with Richard and Mari Milgrim from Kyoto Sunday, August 2, 11AM & 2PM
The Friends of Shoseian is pleased to announce a special tea event, “The Imagine Project 2026,” on Sunday, August 2, 2026, to honor the 15th Headmaster of the Urasenke tea tradition. There will be two seatings, at 11 am and 2 pm.
“The Imagine Project 2026” is presented by Richard and Mari Milgrim from Kyoto.
For nearly five decades, Richard Milgrim has devoted his career to creating Japanese tea ceramics in Kyoto, with the endorsement of the late 15th-generation Grand Master of the Urasenke Tradition of Tea, Dr. Genshitsu Sen, aka Hounsai Dai Sosho.
Mari Milgrim has been teaching the Way of Tea in the Urasenke Tradition for over 50 years.
“Imagine Peace Through a Bowl of Tea” by the 15th Headmaster of the Urasenke tea tradition. — this lifelong guiding principle became the inspiration for the Imagine Project and continues to guide its mission of fostering peace through the sharing of tea.
