LACMA acquires national – treasure - class screens The Los Angeles County Museum of Art recently acquired Maruyama Okyo’s “Cranes” screens (1772), and start to exhibit a pair of the screen on Jan. 19. The size of the screen is 67 ¼ x 137 ¾ x ¾ inches each. Prior to its LACMA acquisition, “Cranes” was presented only two private collections: the Yamada Collection (1773 – 1926) and the Harihan Collection (1926 – 2012).
