More than 100 Japanese A-bomb survivors in the U.S. will undergo medical examinations and counseling with Hiroshima doctors at Providence Little Company of May Medical Center Torrance on June 29 and 30.

Since 1975, the Hiroshima Prefecture Medical Doctor Association has sent doctors to Los Angeles every other year to meet Japanese A-bomb survivors who moved to the U.S. after WWII.

The 19th mission of Hiroshima doctors consists of five physicians and four non-medical staffs led by Dr. Jitsuro Yanagida of Hiroshima Funairi Hospital.
