Seven more people have died from the novel coronavirus, Los Angeles County health officials said Monday, March 30.

Officials also said 324 additional cases have been identified.

The county’s death toll has now reached 44, with 2,474 confirmed cases; a second person who is homeless also tested positive.

County Health Director Barbara Ferrer also said Monday that dozens of the confirmed cases were healthcare workers.

The department was investigating 25 institutions, 18 of them nursing homes, where confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been reported, Ferrer said.

Up to 130 confirmed cases of staff and residents have been reported at facilities and six deaths were residents at nursing homes, Ferrer said.

There were now 11 facilities with three or more cases:

Dungarvin Handley House, in Los Angeles;

Garden Crest Rehabilitation Center, in Los Angeles;

Silverado Beverly Place, Los Angeles;

County Villa South Convalescent, in Los Angeles;

Lawndale Healthcare Center, in Lawndale;

Granada Post Acute, in Lynwood;

Gardena Convalescent, Gardena;

Kei-Ai South Bay Healthcare Center, in Gardena;

Kensington Assisted Living, in Redondo Beach;

Belmont Village, in Hollywood; and

Alameda Care Center, in Burbank.
