2023/7/28 : Little Tokyo Service Center hosts 15th Annual ‘Sake on the Rocks’ Fundraiser at Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, July 28, 7-10PM

What: Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) will host their 15th annual fundraising event, Sake on the Rocks, which raises funds for LTSC’s programs and initiatives. The sake and food tasting festival, taking place in DTLA’s Little Tokyo neighborhood, features 23 different sake breweries from across Japan and over 20 local LA food and beverage vendors.

When: Friday, July 28, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Where: Japanese American Cultural & Community Center Plaza: 244 San Pedro St., Los Angeles, CA 90012

Attendees: LTSC’s donors and supporters, Downtown LA community members, local foodies, sake aficionados. Expected attendance of 900 guests.

Visuals: Vibrant outdoor summer festival with string lights, DJ and vendor booths; ceremonial sake barrel breaking; sake sommeliers pouring tastings and teaching guests about sake; shochu cocktail making contest featuring local community members; attendees eating foods from local vendors; vendors engaging and serving guests.

7:05 – 7:15 PM Welcome and ceremonial sake barrel breaking, toast led by The Honorable Kenko Sone, Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles

8:00 – 8:30 PM Shochu cocktail contest hosted by actor Derek Mio
