Fuji Japanese Music DallasJapanese Carrier Women New Year's Gathering

New Year’s Gathering by the Japanese Career Women at Hiro’s French Japanese Kitchen in Dallas, Texas.

On Saturday, January 18 in Dallas, Texas, the Japanese Career Women held their New Year's celebration at Hiro’s French Japanese by Ramen Izakaya Akira in Lewisville. This restaurant was relocated from New York last year.

As entertainment, I played a new year's Yamatogaku shamisen piece, “Spring in the Year of the Snake.” Nineteen active women from the Dallas area gathered, they were members of Japan-America Society of Dallas-Fort Worth, Urasenke Tea School, Toyota, Hitachi, and many other organizations.

There was also a bingo game, which I as one of four won and received prizes. Now more people are gathering in Texas from New York and California. We are looking forward to the future development of this group and Japanese community in Texas.

On Sunday, January 26 in Los Angeles, I will attend the 2025 Officer’s Installation and Award Luncheon by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California at Quiet Cannon Event Place in Montebello.

On Sunday, February 2 in New York, the next performance of the Fuji Japanese Music will be presented at the Japan Village in Brooklyn at 1:45 p.m. for about 15 minutes before the Setsubun Mamemaki (bean-throwing ceremony) at 2:00 p.m. We will perform “Spring in the Year of the Snake,” “Musume Mikoshi,” and “Mamemaki.”
