Shoseian Teahouse Cherry Blossom Festival

Friends of Shoseian presents Cherry Blossom Festival at the Shoseian “Whispering Pine” Teahouse in the Brand Park, 1601 West Mountain Street, Glendale, CA 91201, on Sunday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Friends of Shoseian invites the public to the annual festival featuring tea ceremonies, martial arts, a kimono booth, Japanese music, dance, calligraphy, sumo, a Japanese food truck, and more!

Entrance to the Festival is free with no tickets required. All are welcome!

10:00 – 11:00: Japanese Dance & Koto Music by Tendo Ryu & Kotoeda Group
11:00 – 11:30: African Drumming by The Peace Players & Gerald Rivers
11:30 – 12:00: Katori Shinto Ryu – Old School Martial Arts by Kitano-sensei
12:00 - 12:10: Remarks by Consul General Kenko Sone of Japan
12:15 – 1:00: Sumo by Sumo Dan
1:00 – 1:30: Filipino Combat and Healing Arts by the Kailukuan School
1:30 – 2:00: Kimono Show by Nadeshiko-kai
2:00 – 2:30: J-Pop/Rock Music by Allie Takehana “The Kewpiez”
2:30 – 3:00: Live Music & Village Dancing by Team Kawachi Ondo
