All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest
The Aurora Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation, in conjunction with the National Council of Japanese Language Teachers, hosts the Eighth Annual Aurora Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest.
The contest provides opportunities for young learners of Japanese to make presentations in Japanese and to inspire more students to improve their proficiency in Japanese.

Help! Japan 311 Charity Cultural Fair
High school students and teachers at a private school in Torrance organize a charity fair benefit to victims of the 311 Japan disaster. This is a flea market type event including kimono experiencing, performances, and Japanese food booths.
The donation delivering ceremony will be held at 2:30 pm.

Earthquake/Tsunami Relief for Japan Benefit Concert
Hosted by the Asia America Symphony Association
In light of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the Asia America Symphony Association is hosting a concert on May 28th at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center to benefit the victims of this tragedy.
The Asia America Symphony Orchestra and Asia America Youth Orchestra will be joined by musical director, David Benoit, along with numerous guest soloists who have passionately volunteered their time and talents in order to participate in this momentous occasion.
