This year, the Los Angeles Buddhist Temple Federation (LABTF) will be commemorating its 100th Anniversary of celebrating the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha in Little Tokyo.
The Los Angeles Buddhist Temple Federation is a unique consortium of Japanese Buddhist Temples in the Little Tokyo and Los Angeles area that were established well over one hundred years ago.
And while many of member temples’ rituals and practices vary, there is commonality member temples all share - the story of the historical Shakyamuni Buddha.
