Los Angeles — Wa no Kai, led by Bando Hidesomi, will celebrate its 30th Anniversary Show on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the JACCC Aratani Theatre in Little Tokyo (244 S. San Pedro St., Los Angeles, CA).
The milestone performance will showcase the elegance of Japanese classical dance with the support of 12 professionals traveling from Japan to assist with props, wigs, costumes, makeup, and stage production. Preparations are already underway to bring this extraordinary recital to life.
Earlier this year, Bando Hidesomi was honored to serve as choreographer for the 2025 Nisei Week Festival, inspired by the theme Kansha (“gratitude”). That same spirit of thankfulness guides the 30th Anniversary celebration, reminding audiences to hold close what truly matters.
To help realize this ambitious production, Wa no Kai invites community members and businesses to participate in its Program Advertisement Campaign. Ads and messages of support will be published in the professionally printed program and shared with the full audience.
