ANAHEIM, CA — The vibrant sounds and spirited dances of Japan will take center stage as Team Kawachi Ondo, the acclaimed Los Angeles–based Japanese Bon Dance music group, performs at the Taste of Japan Winter Wonderland event at Disney Resort Anaheim on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Their performance is scheduled for approximately 3:45 p.m., following the dynamic Tottori’s Kasa Odori and Awa Odori stages around 2:00 p.m.
Taste of Japan Winter Wonderland, held at STC Anaheim GardenWalk (400 West Disney Way, Anaheim, CA 92802), runs from December 19–21, offering guests a full weekend of authentic Japanese cuisine, pop-culture experiences, exclusive merchandise, and captivating live performances. The festivities on December 20 span from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., promising a memorable cultural celebration for all ages.
Team Kawachi Ondo is renowned for their lively and distinctive musical style, blending traditional Japanese folk songs with 80s–90s City Pop and popular dance hits. Audiences can look forward to innovative arrangements such as “Tanko Funk,” “Donpan Bushi” mixed with “La Isla Bonita,” and “Kagoshima Ohara Bushi” fused with “Shut Up and Dance.” The group invites attendees to join the dance circle and experience the joy of Bon Odori firsthand.
The ensemble features lead vocalist Shinichi Hirokawa, vocalists Maaya Ota, Masayo Benoist, Nobuki Hanai, city-pop singer Mama Kay, and percussionist Atsuko Toba.
