ROSAMOND, CA – The Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA) will host the 4th Annual All‑Japan Showdown, a two‑day grassroots celebration of Japanese automotive culture, on March 28–29, 2026, at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California.
Known as one of Southern California’s premier Japanese Domestic Market (JDM)-focused motorsports festivals, the All‑Japan Showdown brings together the greater SoCal Japanese car community for a weekend of racing, high‑performance driving, cultural showcases, and enthusiast engagement.
The event welcomes Japanese street cars, track cars, and race cars, offering participants and spectators an immersive experience that blends motorsports with Japanese heritage.
Saturday, March 28, 2026 (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) kicks off the weekend with competitive vintage racing, a large JDM exhibition featuring street and track builds, parade laps, a photo session, live entertainment, and vendor displays. The day concludes with the signature All‑Japan Showdown Race for VARA racers on the legendary Big Willow circuit.
Sunday, March 29, 2026 (6:00 AM – 5:00 PM) is dedicated to High Performance Driver Education (HPDE), open to street, track, and race cars. New drivers are required to attend a VARA morning school before entering the track, ensuring a safe and educational environment for all participants.
The All‑Japan Showdown is a true grassroots festival, with organizers anticipating over 600 JDM car owners proudly representing iconic Japanese marques including Nissan, Acura, Datsun, Daihatsu, Hino, Honda, Infiniti, Isuzu, Lexus, Mazda, Subaru, and Toyota.
Beyond motorsports, the event showcases elements of Japanese culture, including Taiko drummers, curated vendor offerings, and exhibitors specializing in JDM vehicles and Japanese products. The goal is to provide a broader cultural perspective while celebrating the passion and diversity of the Japanese automotive community.
